I would think that this had to be posted by someone in the athletic's office. I looked all over the FAU site and couldn't find anything more. If it turns out looking like that, at least on the outside, it will be a big improvement. Hopefully the inside of the arena gets just as big of a face lift. It says that capacity will be raised to 7500 seats, so it will be interesting to see how they fit them in.

Thanks for posting these link guys, I pinned the thread, figuring this to be another important piece to the puzzle as we continue our growth. I would love to see, the drawings of the what the inside renovations will look like - expanding to 7,500 seats

I do remember reading somewhere that a new scoreboard is part of the renovations, I'll have to see if I can find the article that mentioned this.

Found it - from a response directly from T-Rex and was posted in an earlier thread by : fauowlHere is the response that was posted:
Here is an overview of the upgrades that will take place at The Burrow (from Coach Walters blog): Direct Link to Walters responseQuestion from Greg Rex, Great job so far this year! My question is about the upgrades to the arena after the season. What exactly will be done? Thanks! Response from Coach Walters Greg, Thanks for the email and interest in FAU Basketball. I have visited with Craig Angelos our Athletics Director and Associate AD Melissa Dawson and I am excited about what I am hearing. Melissa emailed me and this is what she wrote: "The exterior of the arena, lobby, locker room and scoreboard upgrades are being planned. In addition to these improvements, we will be adding chair back seating to the lower west sideline as well as both baselines. Our idea is to leave the lower east sideline bleacher seating for students. It is our sincere hope that as the student support for our basketball teams grow, we will be able to fill this lower section with students that will get vocal in support of their team. The thought is to try and create an atmosphere similar in nature to Duke University Basketball where the entire lower level is bleacher seating and students stand and cheer throughout the game. In addition to this interior atmosphere, we are trying to create a more festive game day experience outside of the arena. The current roadway will be blocked off and resurfaced with pavers. This will allow us to develop a pre-game social area where the band, cheerleaders and dance team can perform while vendors offer pre-game food and beverages. We are hoping this will bring a downtown appeal to the exterior of the arena and provide a perfect space for pre-game gatherings. There will be a ticket kiosk located in the island that is currently outside the arena. This new ticket kiosk will now become the game day point of sell for anyone wishing to purchase tickets to events located in the arena. After purchasing tickets, fans will walk across the covered roadway and enter the arena. Anyone wishing to enter the building will now have to present their tickets prior to ever entering the facility. This will provide a more collegiate feel and help decrease the clutter in the lobby itself. The lobby will have a team store, new lighting, new tile flooring and wainscoting in order to upgrade its appeal. Finally, we will be renovating both the men’s and women’s basketball locker rooms. This part of the renovation will divide each of these locker rooms into 2 separate rooms. One room will be a team meeting room and the other the actual changing room itself. It is our hope that the renovation of these areas will allow us a much better opportunity to host double headers with the men’s and women’s teams. In addition, these remodeled locker rooms will assist us in developing a recruiting edge over our Sun Belt competitors." Melissa and Craig are working their tails off to make this exciting stuff happen. With this renovation, our already beautiful campus and city, and with the leadership of President Brogan and Craig Angelos, we will have all the elements to having a successful basketball program. The Burrow is going to be the place to be! Thanks again for the email and please come out and support us. Sincerely, Rex Walters FAU Basketball

Thats what i was referring to...so, you think that we can take the "being planned" part of it to mean that it will be done and in place for tip -off 07...in other words, no loophole??
Sorry, the stadium has got me leary to accept anyting with out it being in stone, nailed down, and in writing...lol

Exterior, including entrance overhangs and complete repainting Chairback seating behind both baskets and the west sideline Locker room expansion(s) and enhancements Improved student section area on the east sideline Expanded capacity seating to 7,500 FAU Store in the lobby Ticket booth outside the main entrance The cost of total renovations should be around $9 million.
This will be great with chairback seating behind both baskets. The games I saw on TV sucked with the walls behind the basket. We should also score some tv games too next year. I'm sure REX is showing all the potential recruits this while on the road. Another signing could be possible especially if Cuka or Kone bail next year.
It should also help with attendance. One were going to be even better next year, two will get some bigger teams at the burrow on the conference schedule three, people love anything new, students will be coming out and I'm sure the community will be out more too.
One more big time signee could really put the team over the top.
I hope Royster is legit and can help out down low.
Were going to have a legit point guard Nwoji, something we haven't had in awhile.
A legit shooter (someone to replace rice) and solid center would get pressure off Monroe could make this team great.

here's the center from Nwoji's team, I found this blog on him, hopefully Rex is looking at him while attending Nwoji's game Forget about Charles Bronson
He failed to qualify academically for Xavier coming from Panola Juco (it had nothing to do with Philly Lutheran H.S.) and won't be attending or playing for XU. Frankly, his juco coach said he'd need a year of seasoning anyway, so I don't think this is a huge loss for the upcoming season. We'll see what Xavier does with the extra scholly for the 07 class now.
He's the 21st ranked juco guy and the number 4 center. this could be a nice pick up.

I hope Royster is legit and can help out down low. A legit shooter (someone to replace rice) and solid center would get pressure off Monroe could make this team great. Royster is a defensive minded player...hes a shot blocker...he isnt going to light anything up on the offensive end of the floor - YET...Rex has said that he will need to develop his low post game from a scoring standpoint...but i think he will play ahead of Kone...but who knows...Kone has come under alot of fire lately...he might take this summer and seriously work on his toughness and overall game and come back and surprise us all... from a shooting standpoint. we have two guys coming into the mix that are not "pure" scorers, as Rice was....but they can pitch in immediately - Hernandez, Perkins... overall we lose 22 points a game, but we add a bunch of talent that can make us more well rounded... out to the jury is whether we will be able to stay as "explosive" on offense...our defense will surely improve...

wow this thread went from a discussion on the burrow to more bashing of cuka and kone (which is annoying) and predicting next year's lineup
let's keep this to the burrow, please?
