After WKU tied it at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth, we scored three in the top of the sixth on an RBI single by Bomback and a two-run double by Mr. Sun Belt Conference POY. We've pounded out 11 hits already, so it seems our bats woke up this morning. When we win, we play tomorrow morning at 10 a.m ET against the loser of the MTSU/UNO game. If we can play MTSU again, it will almost be like softball, where we lost to FIU in the first game then knocked them out later on. i lke this MTSU match up possibility...GREAT motivation, and i think the best scenario for us...we surely will smack the heck out of the ball if it happens... fortunately its the one thing i can keep up with at work due to filters and firewalls

Things are looking OK through three and two-thirds....it's 4-4. We were up 4-2 when I started this post, but MTSU just hit a two-run homer. Block sac fly to 2b ( ) in the first and McKenna three-run bomb in the third. Obradovich has allowed four runs on five hits through 3 and two-thirds.

Well, it appears they changed the scoring on that homer. It was only an RBI double. So, 4-3 Owls after all that.

Well, that lead didn't last long. Now 6-4 MTSU after Obradovich gives up three runs in the fifth. He then got pulled after giving up six earned on 10 hits in four and two-thirds. Tomlin now in the game. Not looking good I'm afraid.

Cooney brought Bradley in after Cooney gave up a leadoff walk in the top of the ninth and he gave up an RBI double. 7-4 Smurfs now.

Game, tournament and season over....7-4.
Their reliever, Marrs, gave up only one hit over the final four innings.

Disappointing season, sure, anytime you don't accomplish what you started the season to do is not accomplished, but I like to congrats the Baseball team for a good season regardless. They showed great resiliency thru-out the season especially after a great start to the season before the injuries caused us to lose two of our starting pitchers, one being our ACE.
The Boys fought hard after some disappointing early conference series and found a way to finish strong with a .500 conference record. The injuries did expose some weakness, but it can only make us better as a team in the process. You gain more by fighting through adversities like the team had to go thru this season. I like what I saw from the team down the strength, we just happen to fall a little short of our goals.
